BE STILL FOR THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD

Be still, for the presence of the Lord, the Holy One, is here;
Come bow before Him now with reverence and fear:
In Him no sin is found, we stand on holy ground.
Be still, for the presence of the Lord, the Holy One, is here.

Be still, for the glory of the Lord is shining all around;
He burns with holy fire, with splendour He is crowned:
How awesome is the sight, our radiant King of light!
Be still, for the glory of the Lord, is shining all around.

Be still, for the power of the Lord is moving in this place:
He comes to cleanse and heal, to minister His grace
No work too hard for Him. In faith receive from Him.
Be still, for the power of the Lord, is moving in this place

BE STILL MY SOUL

Be still, my soul – the Lord is on thy side! Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
Leave to thy God to order and provide, in every change He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul – thy best, thy heavenly Friend, through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Be still my soul – thy God doth undertake, to guide the future as He has the past;
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake – all now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul – the waves and winds still know, His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below.

Be still, my soul – the hour is hastening on, when we shall be forever with the Lord,
When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone, sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul – when change and tears are past, all safe and blessèd we shall meet at last.

BE THOU MY VISION

Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart; naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best thought, by day or by night, waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my true word; I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord; Thou my great Father, I Thy true son; Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle shield, sword for the fight; Be Thou my dignity, Thou my delight;

Thou my soul’s shelter, Thou my high tower: Raise Thou me heavenward, O power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise, Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart, high King of heaven, my treasure Thou art.

High King of heaven, my victory won, may I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heaven’s sun! Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, still be my vision, O Ruler of all.

BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD

Before the throne of God above, I have a strong, a perfect plea;
A great High Priest, Whose name is Love, who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands, my name is written on His heart;
I know that while in heaven He stands, no tongue can bid me thence depart,
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair, and tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look, and see Him there, who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Saviour died, my sinful soul is counted free;
For God, the Just, is satisfied, to look on Him and pardon me,
To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there! The risen Lamb! My perfect, spotless Righteousness,
The great unchangeable I AM, the King of glory and of grace!
One with Himself, I cannot die; my soul is purchased by His blood;
My life is hid with Christ on high, with Christ, my Saviour and my God,
With Christ, my Saviour and my God.

BLESSED ASSURANCE

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God, born of his Spirit, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song, praising my Saviour all the day long (x2)

Perfect submission, perfect delight, visions of rapture now burst on my sight;

Angels descending, bring from above, echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Chorus

Perfect submission, all is at rest; I in my Saviour am happy and blest,

Watching and waiting, looking above, filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

Chorus

BLESSÈD BE YOUR NAME

Blessèd be Your name, in the land that is plentiful,
Where Your streams of abundance flow, blessèd be Your name.
Blessèd be Your name, when I’m found in the desert place,
Though I walk through the wilderness, blessèd be Your name.

Every blessing You pour out I’ll turn back to praise,
When the darkness closes in, Lord, still I will say:
Chorus

Blessèd be the name of the Lord, blessed be Your name.
Blessèd be the name of the Lord, blessèd be Your glorious name.

Blessèd be Your name, when the sun’s shining down on me,
When the world’s all as it should be, blessèd be Your name.
Blessèd be Your name, on the road marked with suffering,
Though there’s pain in the offering, blessèd be Your name.

Every blessing You pour out I’ll turn back to praise,
When the darkness closes in, Lord, still I will say:
Chorus

You give and take away, You give and take away.
My heart will choose to say, Lord, blessèd be Your name
Chorus
