We believe our most important and foundational ministry to one another, from which every other ministry flows, is the ministry of faithful attendance at corporate worship services. Every time God’s people gather in His presence and His Word is preached and His praises are sung, this is the most relevant and effective ministry to the whole body and to every kind of person, whether young or old, married or divorced, single or teen, child or parent, male or female. Through His Word and His people, God addresses every individual in a specialised way by His Spirit, which is more important than any other specialised ministries.
Bible hour takes place on Sunday Mornings following the first service between 10:30 and 11:30 and is hosted at different venues close to the Church Campus. Various biblical topics are covered in these sessions which run for approximately six weeks, depending on the content. This is a unique opportunity for families to receive teaching from God’s Word in an environment which allows for questions and discussions regarding the topic at hand. Contact the Church Office for a list of the Topics and venues.
Wednesday night small groups
WHY join a small group? – Answer: Why not! In light of the 52 different one-another commands in the NT and the great privilege of being placed in God’s family and learning to love one another in the body of Christ, and in light of such commands as:
- : Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called ‘Today,’ so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
Don’t kid yourself, YOU need regular, in-depth encouragement from other believers in the local church. And don’t underestimate how much other believers need YOU!
Venue: Please contact the church office for a “Bible Study Group List”
When: Every Wednesday night of the month
Time: 19:00 or 19:30 depending on the Group.
Teen youth at Antioch is first and foremost about being focused on Jesus Christ, His person and work.
We meet on Friday evenings (during public school holiday terms) from 7 pm until 9:15 pm at Antioch Campus. We focus on equipping our teens with a biblical worldview, encouraging a love for the Word through systematic study and catechising, cultivating an awe for our Creator, and most importantly: leading them to Jesus Christ.
This is also a time for social interaction, building meaningful relationships, reaching out to the world around us and challenging the boundaries of our comfort zones. The last Friday of the month is a social evening with games. At the end of every term, we have a social outing planned.
12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. (ESV)
