“The Bible is sufficient for counseling.” Do you agree with this statement?
Most Christians would agree the Bible contains all of God’s truth necessary for salvation and right doctrine. But many Christians are uncertain about whether God’s Word contains all the truth needed for living a joyful, fruitful Christian life. Does the Bible even have much to say about tricky counseling issues like family conflicts, panic attacks, unwanted sexual desires, depression, past abuse, addictions, and more? Aren’t we told that problems like these better handled by trained psychologists or psychiatrists? Does God even intend for us to use the Bible this way?
On 20-21 June, Antioch Bible Church will be presenting a conference titled, “The Bible is Sufficient for Counseling,” aimed at supporting that statement. For the main sessions, local pastors will show the claims which Scripture makes about its own veracity, authority, sufficiency for every aspect of life.
During the breakout time, various speakers will illustrate the sufficiency of Scripture by describing different counseling issues, demonstrating how abundantly the Word of God brings clarity on that problem and how to handle it. Check this page later for an updated list on the breakout topics.
